Nacho Mama GOES RED with Macy's #llblog

I am LOVING this Charter Club Dress!
Hello Everyone!

Are YOU going red this Valentines Day? Looking for the perfect dress to drive him wild? How about raising awareness about one of the most significant health risks of our time while you're looking smokin' HOT?

Get yourself to Macy's!

Macy’s is a founding member of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women and has already raised more than $28 million for Go Red in the fight against heart disease!

Macy's is making American Heart Month in 2012 more fashionable than ever with the addition of exclusive red dresses from Alfani, Charter Club (like the little number I'm sporting in the photo) and I·N·C. The red dresses will be available in select stores and at macys.com in time to celebrate National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.

In addition to raising awareness about the NUMBER ONE KILLER OF WOMEN as they have done in conjunction with the AHA for the past 9 years, THIS year Macy's is also holding the following events to help people fight heart disease as fashionably as possible:
Wear something red and head down to Macys for discounts TODAY!

Wear Red Sale

In honor of American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day, customers wearing anything red – from an entire ensemble; to lipstick; to the signature Red Dress pin, will receive a special 20 percent or 10 percent discount on a wide assortment of merchandise at Macy’s stores nationwide, as part of the Wear Red Sale.  However, even without wearing red, customers who still want to support Go Red For Women, as well as receive the special discount, can purchase the official Go Red For Women red dress lapel pin for $2 at any Macy’s store. All pin sales will directly benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. The Wear Red Sale begins Wednesday, Feb. 1 thru Sunday, Feb. 5. Additional merchandise exclusions apply.

Red Dresses at Macy’s

Macy’s introduces three new red dress silhouettes, designed and produced exclusively by I·N·C International ConceptsÒ, Alfani and Charter Club, each available only at select Macy’s stores and on macys.com. The red dresses will retail from $69.50 to $89, with 10 percent of the purchase price of each dress sold between Jan. 29 and Feb. 25 donated to the American Heart Association. Macy’s makes it easy to dress for the cause and demonstrate heartfelt support for Go Red For Women!
10% of the purchase price of a dress like this one from Charter Club goes to fight heart disease!

Ready, Set, Go…..Red Dress Dash

The American Heart Association and Macy’s are inviting women to participate in the Go Red For Women Red Dress Dash to celebrate a heart-healthy lifestyle. The event will take place in various locations during the month of February. The National Launch event will take place at Macy’s Herald Square on Friday, Feb. 3 with Go Red For Women celebrity spokespersons Elizabeth Banks, Star Jones and Nick Verreos. To find a Red Dress Dash in your area and see the most up-to-date list of cities, visit GoRedForWomen.org.

Heart to Heart - Go Red CONNECT Events
The American Heart Association and select Macy’s stores across the country are inviting women to special Go Red CONNECT events to share the choices they make to live a heart-healthy lifestyle, empowering others by example. Women who share their stories have a chance to become a spokesperson for the cause – representing Go Red For Women in marketing materials at events and on GoRedForWomen.org.

Go Red CONNECT events will be held at Macy’s stores in many cities across the country, during the weekend of Feb. 3 - 5, and on other dates in February. To find a Go Red CONNECT event in your area and view the most up-to-date list of events, visit GoRedForWomen.org.

And the Beat Goes On

Macy’s has helped the American Heart Association bring awareness to this movement, which speaks directly to women of diverse cultures and ethnicities. In 2008, the Macy’s Go Red For Women Multicultural Fund was created to specifically educate, promote and distribute good heart-health information to African-American and Hispanic women. The Fund’s goal is to reach these women through broadcast and print vehicles, as well as support education through the Multicultural Scholarship Fund. To date, Go Red For Women and Macy’s have worked with “Selecciones” magazine, Word Network TV and Radio One Inc. to produce grassroots events, public service announcements and literature to ensure their respective audiences are well informed.

Follow Your Heart and Share the Love on Facebook and Twitter
Start a conversation with the ones you love through Valentine’s Day-themed conversation hearts sent via Macy’s Facebook page. Beginning Feb. 1, fans can go to facebook.com/macys and choose from a variety of fun messages or be creative and design their own.  For each virtual heart shared from Macy’s Facebook page through Feb. 14, Macy’s will donate $2 to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. Macy’s Twitter followers can also share the love by tweeting #heart@Macys from Feb. 1 through Feb. 14, and Macy’s will donate $2 for each tweet, up to a maximum donation of $250,000 for both Facebook and Twitter participation.  All donations benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement.
Click to like Macy's on Facebook and they will make a donation to the AHA!
Don't you just love when fashion does more than just make you feel cute? I hope you'll slap on some red lipstick or slip on your favorite red pumps and head down to your local Macy's to pick up a dress that'll make him swoon AND help women everywhere to fight this deadly disease.

This Valentine's Day, show your heart a little love!

Wishing you love with extra cheese-
Nacho Mama

Disclosure: I was given this dress my Macy's for review and for promotion of the Go Red campaign. The above is my true and honest opinion.
