Hola everyone!

How's the summer treating you so far? We are having a great one here in San Diego. I've always loved summer, but when my husband and I were first married and living in northern New Jersey, summer was always a really difficult time for him. Why? Well, my hubs has extremely sensitive skin and every summer he would get poison ivy! It grew everywhere in our neighborhood of West New York (yes, we lived in "West New York, New Jersey").


I've never seen anyone get poison ivy as bad as my husband. I'm not allergic to it, myself. I could roll in the stuff without experiencing the slightest itch. Which meant that I was invariably bringing urushiol (the chemical in poison ivy that makes it so harmful) into our home on my clothes and shoes, where my unsuspecting husband could catch it by touching a doorknob, furniture or the phone. Poor man! We tried every remedy we heard about: milk, calamine lotion, etc. But the only thing that brought him any relief? Was Aveeno oatmeal baths and lotions. So we've been using them ever since.

Now we have two kids and at least one of them has inherited their dad's sensitive skin. So when Johnson & Johnson sent me some "Aveeno Baby" products to try, I was thrilled! The lotion is great for my daughter, who often finds other lotions "sting-ey" and the baby wash is WONDERFUL for my son, who needs to take a least one bath a day in the summer because he gets so dirty and sticky. I've been using the Aveeno Baby Wash every day since I got it and it doesn't dry out his delicate toddler skin at all! And my husband loves their new "Positively Radiant" daily moisturizer. It doesn't irritate his skin (even after shaving) and it has spf 30. Score!
