Back when I lived on the east coast, one of my FAVORITE places to save was DOLLAR GENERAL! As a mom who loves to save and with couponing being all the rage these days, I'm always surprised that more people don't explore their local "dollar store" - there are so many brilliant bargains there!

I used to love to explore my local Dollar General and stock up on pantry staples like canned tomatoes, beans, oatmeal, coffee and more. But alas, when I moved to the west coast, I had to leave Dollar General behind with so many of the other things I loved about New Jersey like: Maxwell's in Hoboken, zeppole and my old Weight Watchers meeting in Hackensack.

People are surprised to hear that you can find name brands there as well as private label products, but you can!
